Yield: 1 Serving

2 lb shrimp 20-26 count
1 lg habanero chile stem removed, chopped
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 T onion,Chopped
1 T cayenne
2 t worcestershire sauce
1 t lemon juice
1/2 t pepper
1/2 t paprika
1/2 t cumin seed –,Ground
1 T brown sugar
1 bambo skewers

First, peel and de-vein shrimp. Wash, drain and place on skewers 5-6 per skewers. Saute onions and garlic in butter, remove from heat and place in blender. Add cayenne, worchestershire sauce, lemon juice pepper, cumin, brown sugar and the habaneros with seeds. Blend till smooth. Brush onto the shrimp skewers and marinate for 30-60 min. in fridge. Start grill and cook till opaque and slightly crispy. Dust with paprika and serve.

    I’m a home cook by hobby. I know this blog from the beginning and I’m glad it’s not dead due of ownership change. Yet something bothers me here. What is this link to Travel Nursing Jobs? What’s nursing and cooking got together? And also those last 2 recipes are not unique. This blog got reputation, providing unique home cook recipes. Please keep it.

    Thanks for your comment. I am also a home cook by hobby. I am glad we have a place to share our favorite recipes. This blog was purchased as a place for traveling nurses and other health care professionals to post recipes they have come across in the different areas of the country they are working. Of course, anybody is welcome to post comments and new recipes.
    I will attempt to get as many original recipes on here as I can, but you will also find recipes that I have borrowed or adapted. In any case, I hope you find the recipes to be useful and enjoyable.
    Look for more frequent posts in the near future. I hope to have a new recipe up daily, starting in about a month.
