Grilled Cheese with Bacon

  This type of grilled cheese is a more classic variation than the one in my last recipe post. Omit the bacon for an even more classic version. I like to serve this grilled cheese with tomato soup on a cold day.   You will need: 10 thick slices of bread 5 slices of cheese 5 slices of bacon 2-3 tablespoons of butter     Heat a griddle to 340 degrees, or heat a pan on the stove to medium or medium low heat. Place one slice of cheese between two slices of bread for each sandwich. Cook the bacon until crispy in a skillet and add two one half slices to each sandwich. Butter each side of each sandwich. Barbecued Chicken Wings

The chicken wings need to be marinated for this recipe, so it requires planning ahead, although the actual preparation time isn’t more than 15 minutes. You will need: 35 chicken wings with the tips removed 1 stick butter 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 tablespoon sauce 1/2 cup red wine 2 teaspoons dry mustard 2 large crushed garlic cloves 1/4 cup lemon juice Salt and pepper to taste   Simply combine all of the ingredients except for the chicken in a bowl. Place the chicken in a large pan and pour the mixture over the chicken. Place plastic wrap over the pan and leave it in the refrigerator overnight or let it stand for a minimum of one hour. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the pan containing the chicken into the oven and immediately reduce the oven heat to 250 degrees. Bake the chicken for 4-5 hours. 1/2 c worcestershire sauce 1/2 c honey 1/2 c (1 stick) butter (or marg.) 1/2 c light brown sugar, packed 1/2 c dark rum 1 pineapple,cut into 8 wedges – and cored* 1 vanilla ice cream To prepare sauce, combine Worcestershire, honey, butter, sugar and rum in 3 quart saucepan. Bring to a full boil over medium-high heat, stirring often. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer 12 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened, stirring often. Remove from heat; cool completely. Brush pineapple wedges with some of the sauce. Place pineapple on oiled grid. Grill over hot coals 5 minutes or until glazed, turning an basting often with sauce.
