Barbecued Chicken Wings

Barbecued Chicken Wings

The chicken wings need to be marinated for this recipe, so it requires planning ahead, although the actual preparation time isn’t more than 15 minutes.

You will need:

35 chicken wings with the tips removed

1 stick butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 tablespoon sauce

1/2 cup red wine

2 teaspoons dry mustard

2 large crushed garlic cloves

1/4 cup lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Simply combine all of the ingredients except for the chicken in a bowl. Place the chicken in a large pan and pour the mixture over the chicken. Place plastic wrap over the pan and leave it in the refrigerator overnight or let it stand for a minimum of one hour. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the pan containing the chicken into the oven and immediately reduce the oven heat to 250 degrees. Bake the chicken for 4-5 hours. Turn the chicken wings frequently. Let the chicken wings cool before serving. Any leftover marinade in the pan can be used for dipping sauce.
